Fish Bolt
A fish plate bolt secures splice bars to rail ends. It forms part of bolted joints on mining and railway tracks, working with nuts and splice bars matched to the rail profile. It secures joint bars to rail ends in bolted track joints.

A fish plate bolt passes through the splice bars and rail holes to hold the joint together. Head and neck geometry match the railway system’s seating arrangement.
Technical features
Geometry follows the drawing. Properties may be specified to ASTM A449 type 1 or ASTM A354 grade BD, depending on the design. The catalogue lists a black oxide finish.
Applications and assembly
Selection includes diameter, length, head and neck shape, thread and strength grade. The bolt must match the splice bar thickness and rail-hole pattern.
