Steel Chain
Steel chain is used for securing, restraint and tensile load transfer. Lifting operations require chain with a grade and rated capacity certified for lifting, together with compatible fittings.

Chain consists of interlinked links that provide a flexible connection for securing and restraint duties. Strength depends on link diameter, geometry and material.
Technical features
The supply is defined by link diameter, pitch, length, grade and finish. General-purpose galvanized chain and lifting chain are different products. EN 818-2 is a reference for certain grade 8 lifting chains.
Applications and assembly
For lifting, grade identification and allowable working load must accompany the assembly. Capacity also depends on the fittings and the lifting arrangement.
