Hex Bolt – ASTM A307 Grades A and B
The ASTM A307 carbon steel hex bolt is used for general fastening of equipment, supports and metal components. Its six-sided head accepts common tools and provides a removable connection with compatible nuts.

The A307 hex bolt provides a fastening option for joints that do not require the properties of a high-strength structural bolt. Finishes may vary with the installation environment.
Technical features
ASTM A307 grade A specifies at least 60 ksi tensile strength; grade B specifies 60–100 ksi for cast iron flange joints. These grades do not specify a minimum yield strength. Inch threads follow ASME B1.1. Material strength alone does not establish the allowable load of the assembled joint.
Applications and assembly
Applications include industrial assembly, maintenance and supports. Length must accommodate the connected parts and full nut engagement. It is not an automatic substitute for A325, A490 or grades specified for pressure equipment.
