Hex Bolt A325 – ASTM F3125

High-strength structural bolts under the ASTM F3125 standard in A325 and A490 grades are primarily made from carbon steel, with hardness and strength defined by their standard. The bolts can be provided in metric or inch units.

Structural hex bolts are specifically for structural use, such as in the fabrication of bridges, roofs, and metal structures in general.

Characteristics of the A325 Structural Hex Bolt
The structural hex bolts offered by Modepsa—among others—are available in A325 grade and can have a black oxide, zinc-plated, and/or galvanized finish. They are manufactured under the ASTM F3125 standard and are used in sectors like mining, industry, and construction.

They are characterized by having a heavy hexagonal head. Additionally, this product has limited dimensions from 1/2″ to 1 1/2″ and undergoes a heat treatment of quenching and tempering. These bolts also have a tensile strength of 105,000 to 120,000 PSI. According to the standard, their hardness fluctuates in the range of 25 to 34 HRC.
