Square Head Bolt
A square head bolt is used in special fixings, fittings and equipment requiring a four-sided head. Its geometry supports wrench engagement and seating in components that restrain rotation.

Square head bolts preserve the fastening configuration of many industrial fittings and machines. They are also used in timber assemblies and applications where the head is retained in a square recess.
Technical features
Inch dimensions follow ASME B18.2.1. Properties are specified to SAE J429 grade 2, 5 or 8 as ordered. ASME B1.1 defines unified threads; material and finish follow the selected grade.
Applications and assembly
Specify diameter, length under the head, threaded length and head dimensions. For replacement parts, these measurements preserve the fit with existing recesses and tools.
